What you'll do...

Join the Global Communications team at Walmart and make an impact not only on the future of retail, but on topics and issues the whole world is watching, such as community, opportunity, philanthropy, sustainability and the energy transition. This is a position that has you thinking on your feet every day, pivoting and multi-tasking fluidly. You’ll be leading 360 comms work, reaching diverse audiences both internally and externally. The ability to jump in with an executive presence and thought leadership is key.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Helping develop and execute proactive, data-driven 360 communications strategies (including executive positioning, media relations, internal, stakeholder and social/digital) designed to enhance the company’s reputation and drive action.
• Sourcing and developing stories and content that reinforce Walmart’s impact and position as an innovative, trusted retailer.
• Engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of plans and initiatives.
• Seeking thought leadership opportunities and preparing executives for speaking engagements.
• Serving as a counselor, advising and providing recommendations to executives on how to drive awareness and engagement, and mitigate or address key issues.
• Developing impactful messages that help move the needle with key stakeholders; writing and editing communications materials.
• Identifying opportunities, threats, and best practices and evaluate data and metrics; uncovering new insights and trends that improve communications and processes.
• Serving as a company spokesperson, building and maintaining relationships with national, local, and online journalists.
