About the Role
The Business Operations organization at Walmart Connect is the connective tissue of the organization and stands at the center of the Walmart Connect team. We work across teams to drive cross-functional alignment and enable growth and scalability of the business. We are the internal problem solvers of the organization, the swiss army knife team, and we lead and drive strategic decision-making and execution of strategic initiatives across the entire company.
The Business Operations Manager II – Workforce Planning & Strategy will:
- Support the Lead with HR & Talent Acquisition framework for headcount planning.
- Partner with the internal stakeholders to be a key strategic driver behind workforce management for WMC
- Build, own and maintain workforce management processes for headcount to allow for efficient hiring, reporting, planning
- Drive analysis of headcount and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency
- Work with cross-functional partners to enable initiatives and changes for continuous improvement as it relates to workforce management
- Support Talent Acquisition & WMC business partners by improving operational efficiencies in the hiring process
- Partner with learning & development in trainings for hiring managers and onboarding programs for new associates
- Develop, scale, and lead university full-time and intern programs within WMC
- Support HR with strategic workforce and talent related projects
- Help drive HR initiatives for WMC in partnership with People & TA
- Build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive influence.
- Build & manage high performing team, provide mentorship and leadership
- Be game to take on anything else fun that comes up
Requirements
- Strong Communications skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
- Advanced PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel proficiency
- 5+years relevant work experience in Management Consulting, Business Operations, strategy, and/or People Operations
Qualification:
- Digital advertising or media experience a plus
- Experience in talent & organizational strategy/consulting
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills (left & right brain)
- Able to be strategic but in the weeds / operationalize as needed
- Ability to manage, communicate and work with C-level executives
- Experience leading and managing large cross-functional projects and teams
- Detailed oriented and organized with ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects, High EQ skills and ability to communicate clearly with all different types of people
- Exceptional follow through and project management skills
- High level of accountability, proven ability to take ownership
- Self-motivated and extremely proactive
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change
- Experience with Vlookups, Pivot Tables, and data visualizations.
- Knowledge of database management tools (SQL or R) is a plus
- Experience managing and leading a team a plus
