What you'll do...

We are seeking a Software Engineer professional. 

  

Duties:

Translate product requirements into technical solution design, research technical requirements and develop applications to support cloud platform management. 

Develop applications using Java technologies such as Spring-Boot, Maven, Groovy, and non-Java technologies such as HTML, CSS, and ReactJS.  

Create and maintain documentation on applications and processes. Participate in team development meetings, code reviews, planning, and retrospectives. 

Support testing strategies such as unit, integration, end to end, penetration, and stress testing to identify and fix bugs and bottlenecks.

Ensure overall integration of the system through collaboration with other engineering teams.

Provide rapid response and solution options to customers on blocking issues. Analyze application logs in Splunk and application metrics in Grafana.

Monitor Azure Environment health, notify and support customers, SRE team, and L1 support to ensure smooth operation and resolution of issues.

  

Skills required: 

  • Experience with Java and Spring-Boot or VertX.
  • Experience with Java garbage collection and runtime optimizations.
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications.
  • Experience writing quality code using industry standard practices including Unit, functional, and integration test cases with frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito.
  • Experience integrating with up and downstream systems using Java, Jax-WS, JBoss-RestEasy, (Concord-or other orchestration product experience).
  • Experience maintaining application source base using Git and Git Hub. Experience utilizing advanced automation CI/CD process, pipeline, & tools to build, ship, and run cloud applications.
  • Experience debugging and fixing code using Splunk logs, log4j/slf4j, Eclipse or IntelliJ, and Browser developer tools.
  • Experience with Containerized workloads in Docker and Kubernetes.  The experience should involve cloud applications in GCP, Azure, and/or private cloud.
  • Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Following experience is good to have: 

  • Experience writing Unix commands, shell scripting, and PowerShell to assist with operational and support activities. 
  • Experience with Azure App Service, Azure Cosmos Database.
  • Experience with Azul Prime
