In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and contributing to the creation of compelling, social content that engages customers and elevates perception of the Walmart. You’ll also help direct social campaigns, foster development for the team, and help oversee the Walmart brand voice with agency partners. Personnel and relationship management is required, so a high EQ is a must-have.

Essential functions

  • Direct the ideation and messaging across social projects and campaigns by leveraging resources to develop engaging, on-brand copy that meets brief requirements and supports business goals.

  • Keep up with platform and industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape.

  • Receive campaign ideas and translate them into social first activations.

  • Support, mentor, and provide guidance to the team. Lead and develop the talent people, not just manage projects.

  • Collaborate with leadership, marketing stakeholders, and cross-functional partners to translate objectives into compelling marketing creative.

  • Lead brainstorms and provide constructive feedback on copy to create industry leading work.

  • Proactively troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise by displaying nimbleness, good judgment, and ingenuity.

  • Collaborate with design partners—often on the fly—to adapt copy to work within varying formats and accommodate stakeholder feedback as necessary.

  • Advocate for copy and content needs with cross-functional partners to help ensure the team gets the information required to successfully do their jobs.

  • Ensure adherence to the brand voice and style guide across formats and channels.

  • Foster cross-functional relationships with key business partners to create deeper understanding of goals, needs, and limitations, as well as build trust and alignment.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field and 5 years of creative copy management.
     

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Online portfolio is required.

  • 8 years of experience in creative, communications and/or marketing execution.

  • 5 years of supervisory experience.

  • 5 years managing copy in an online creative or digital field.

  • 3 years of experience working for or with creative agencies.

  • 5 years of experience developing copy, concepts, campaigns for social media platforms.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 3 years' experience in editorial content management or related field OR 5 years' experience in editorial content management or related field.
