As a Senior Manager II on the Walmart U.S. People & Global Associate Relations Communications team, you will support People communications that directly impact our 1.6 million Walmart U.S. associates. You will also help tell the story of how Walmart is creating jobs for the future and leading the way on workplace issues the whole world is watching.

This is a position where teamwork, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills are essential. It’s designed to keep you thinking on your feet daily, pivoting and multi-tasking fluidly.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Representing and protecting the Walmart brand internally and externally by driving positive messaging about Walmart as a great place to work.
  • Being a self-starter who seeks out and identifies opportunities to proactively tell the unparalleled story of opportunity at Walmart.
  • Developing comprehensive internal and external communications plans for Walmart U.S. People & Global Associate Relations programs, rollouts, and announcements.
  • Using your creative writing skills to turn complex subjects into easily understandable communications.
  • Developing internal and external communications, including associate stories, internal memos, speeches, executive talking points, FAQs, media statements, content development, social media content, etc.
  • Easily building relationships and working cross-functionally to deliver strategic plans and coordinated materials while balancing changing and competing priorities.
  • Being comfortable working with and providing sound counsel to senior leaders and advance business priorities through communication.
  • Leveraging technology to implement innovative ways to reach Walmart associates with relevant messages.
  • Serve as a company spokesperson, working with media on workplace stories and company announcements.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field and 4 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area OR 6 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or relevant area. 1 year’s supervisory experience or experience leading cross-functional teams.
