Join the Walmart Health & Wellness Compliance team to support the growth and development of Walmart Health! Reporting to the Director of Controlled Substance Compliance (CSC) Health and Wellness, the Manager I, H&W, CSC role will support the development and implementation of an effective compliance program for Walmart Controlled Substance Compliance. The Manager I, H&W, CSC will collaborate with business partners to understand business strategies and identify potential compliance risks associated with them and establishing effective controls and compliance oversight related to those risks.
Specific functional responsibilities of the Manager I, H&W, CSC will include responding to compliance questions and issues; monitoring laws and regulations for specified area; drafting and updating policies and standard operating procedures; developing effective training and communications strategies for Walmart Controlled Substance Compliance associates and providers; and identifying and implementing effective auditing and monitoring strategies to assess effectiveness of controls.
What you’ll do….
- Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program – Support the development and implementation of the Walmart CSC compliance program structure and foundation, with specific emphasis on inventory management through monitoring, ordering platform, oversee ordering on the Controlled Substance Ordering System (CSOS), overseeing controlled substance thresholds, and implementing CS inventory management processes
- Establish a roadmap for future enhancement – Assist in the identification of short- and long-term compliance program initiatives, demonstrating the ability to prioritize immediate needs and plan for ongoing enhancement and evolution of the program over time
- Build effective relationships – Establish relationships with key stakeholders and effectively integrate with the Walmart Health business to secure compliance as the most trusted support function
- Support enterprise and team success – Facilitate timely identification of compliance risks and implementation of effective mitigation strategies to enable successful implementation of business initiatives
- Operate with excellence – Identify KPIs and KRIs that measure and monitor potential risk areas and facilitate the implementation of effective tools to assess those indicators
What you’ll bring…
- Subject matter expert in pharmacy-controlled substance compliance requirements, with interest in applying this expertise around controlled substance compliance and supporting compliance initiatives in our pharmacy service lines
- Extensive experience and familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, including state board of pharmacy related requirements, and federal controlled substance regulation, etc.
- Process-minded and look for opportunities to streamline for improved efficiency and effectiveness
- Strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders
- Experience working in cross-functional teams within a corporate environment
- Organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Stimulated by challenges and are ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale
