The Internship

Held over an 11-week period during the summer of 2024 for undergrad students graduating between December 2024 and August 2025. The paid internship will prepare associates for a career with Walmart Connect. Work on a meaningful project, network with industry experts, and develop your skills while having an epic summer!

Driving the strategy with data-driven analysis for key supplier sales across various industries (ex. Food) while activating on the 360 Omni strategy (In-store and online) 


Sales Strategy & Enablement 

Responsible for Sales Weekly Business Reviews, Account Segmentation, Annual Planning, Opportunity/Risk Sizing, Strategy, and Executive Support​. Outside of our core, recurring responsibilities, the Strategy team always has a unique, interesting project to dive into that is different every time.​ 



  • Support the development of a new vertical in an SBU (ex. Food) at Walmart Connect 

  • Independently lead and manage multiple creative projects, engaging directly with business partners 

  • Collaborates with cross functional teams. 

  • Share market research and trends with the Sales team across relevant verticals. 

  • Accompany the Sales team on their meetings virtually and in person (when applicable).  Help extract the key takeaways and work on the follow ups. 

  • Insights and Analytical support for suppliers short and long-term goals with Walmart Connect 

  • Coordinate and partner closely with the Walmart Connect team on the development of upcoming seasonal activations and Customer Moments 

  • Help drive revenue – focus on storytelling and projects that will grow/retain business. 

  • Learn media planning and how Walmart Connect approaches our recommendations across search, display, in-store, and offsite. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate, Bachelor’s degree program currently.  

  • Expected graduation date between December 2024 and August 2025

  • 0-1 years of full-time relevant experience  

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint; Salesforce, Power BI, SQL experience is a plus 

  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn retail media. 

  • Strong work ethic and prioritization skills to meet deadlines. 

  • Ability to roll up sleeves and has a good attitude. 

  • Excellent communication skills – listening, verbal, and written. 

  • Detail oriented and organized. 

  • Interest in retail media, marketing, merchandising, and integrated planning 

  • Passion and a desire to learn the omnichannel landscape

The annual salary range for this position is $36,000.00-$377,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
