Position: Senior Data Analyst

Job Location: 311 N Walton Blvd, Bentonville, AR 72712

Duties: Analyze and interpret information for one or more initiative work streams to improve business efficiency by using various analytical methodologies; developing creative solutions within business areas that reduce cost and/or meet business goals; using judgment to assign what activities must be done; and ensuring data accuracy. Develop and direct one or more work streams of a cross-functional project to achieve desired results by ensuring understanding of scope of work; organizing timelines and deliverables; facilitating meetings involving project teams to analyze, plan, and implement project initiatives; taking corrective action; and reporting results and deliverables to supervisors and stakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally on assignments with internal and external stakeholders to understand the results of data analyses and research by communicating results and findings. Develop tools that support decision making and business cases by summarizing needed information; determining what information must be reported; ensuring customer needs are met; and analyzing an initiative's impact to the business. Assume duties of Project Manager III, Innovation in the absence of the Project Manager III, Innovation by attending meetings; working directly with the project team members on specific projects and analyses; performing analyses; providing directional advice and guidance related to defined logistical issues; and determining which issues should be elevated to a higher priority. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field; OR 4 years of experience in data analytics or related field.

Skills required: Must have experience with: Data collection and data cleaning using data management tools such as SQL, Alteryx, VBA or Python; Data analysis or Statistical analysis using data management tools such as Alteryx, Tableau or Python; Building optimization models and run scenarios using Optimization software (Blue Yonder Transportation Modeler or related tools) based on business requirement; Developing and applying Operations Research algorithms such as linear programming, Mixed Integer programming or Heuristics for determining optimization strategy and parameters; Data visualization using Tableau and Excel to analyze model results to identify improvement opportunities; Communicating and presenting model results to stakeholders and assisting in developing dashboards/presentations/deliverables to convey recommendations; Collaborating with cross functional teams to understand business requirements, process constraints and data requirements to translate processes into data models; Application of Data Science concepts such as Predictive Modeling and Clustering using Python and Excel to support modeling projects; Developing transportation network models to optimize routing, cost and relevant performance metrics; and Developing and executing optimization project plans and communicating progress to stakeholders.
