About the Team

The Senior Manager II, Data Analytics role is a member of the Stores Innovation & Automation team and will be responsible for developing a suite of KPIs to measure the efficacy of our initiatives. You build key metrics, data pipelines and dashboards to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across the business, which will be used to drive the strategy for the Stores Innovation & Automation team.

You will report to the Director of Analytics, Store Automation. This is an onsite role based in Bentonville, Arkansas; a full relocation package is available, but we are not considering remote candidates at this time.

What you’ll do….

• Data Source Identification: Support the understanding of the priority order of requirements and service level agreements to help identify the most suitable source for data that is fit for purpose and perform initial data quality checks on extracted data
• Technical Problem Formulation: Identify appropriate methods and tools to be leveraged to provide a solution for the problem and share use cases to demonstrate how the method would solve the business problem
• Data Visualization: Identify and recommend the most suitable visualization tools based on context
• Data Strategy: Understand, articulate, interpret, and apply the principles of the defined strategy to unique, moderately complex business problems
• Data Quality Management: Manage data quality issues and lead data cleansing activities to remove data quality defects, improve data quality, and eliminate unused data
• Understanding Business Context: Translate business requirements into strategies, initiatives, and projects and align them to business strategy and objectives to drives the execution of deliverables
• Exploratory Data Analysis: Support the identification and application of statistical techniques based on requirements and apply suitable technique under direction from leadership

What you’ll bring…

• Proficiency in SQL, python, and big data tools (e.g., Hive)
• Proficiency with dashboarding tools (e.g., Looker) and scheduling/workflow tools (e.g., Airflow)
• Ability to clearly communicate details of a metric to senior leaders
• Ability to drive actionable insights for stakeholders
• Ability to connect nuances of data and their impact on the business
• Experience developing new metrics to track business impact
• Exposure to building dashboards and reports that aggregate data from a variety of sources

You’ll sweep us off our feet if you…

• Have a background and/or education in statistics
• Experience with machine learning and data science techniques

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
1 year's supervisory experience.
