What you'll do...
As a Systems Engineer at Walmart, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the next generation telemetry system that monitors endpoints on both Mac and Windows platforms. You should possess a deep understanding and hands-on experience with tools like 1E, Systrack, Splunk, NexThink, and ControlUp. Your expertise will be utilized to implement and deliver digital experience (DeX) scores and telemetry data, ensuring continuous improvement of all applications on the endpoints. Additionally, you will provide technical support to employees and stakeholders utilizing the telemetry system.

What you'll do:
- Investigate, implement, manage, and maintain telemetry platform solutions within the organization. In addition, ensuring smooth operation of the telemetry platform by troubleshooting, problem-solving, and resolving technical issues. Collaborate with other IT staff to integrate telemetry solutions with existing systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their product lifecycle needs and translate them into effective telemetry solutions. Train and support other staff in effectively using telemetry tools.
- Stay up-to-date with updates and enhancements to the telemetry platform and implement them for maximum benefit; conduct regular audits to ensure compliance, system security, and maintain backup and redundancy strategies. Develop and maintain documentation related to telemetry implementations, procedures, system configuration, and changes made.
- Stay informed about the latest telemetry technologies and industry trends, maintaining deep knowledge in the field and provide technical expertise and support to customers, including problem determination and resolution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient operation of the company's infrastructure.
What you'll bring:
- Recent experience in implementing and administrating systems such as 1E, Splunk, NexThink, and ControlUp. 1E and Splunk experience is a big plus.
- College Degree.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Coding skills in C#, Swift, and Python are a plus.
- Experience in network diagramming and architecting solutions, with examples to showcase your expertise.
