End-2-End security and safety is a brand-new initiative/team is looking for a self-driven Group Product Manager who can help make Walmart a safest place to shop and work globally.



About Team: 
Our team is focused on developing a streamlined, dependable company that includes service operations and technology solutions for Finance, People, and Associate Digital Experience (ADE). We also provide a variety of services such as procurement, supplier portfolio management, merchandising master data, and analytics. From developing HR chatbots and virtual assistants to creating invoice solutions and facilitating legal changes, we help drive efficiency across Walmart globally. 

What you'll do:

  • Develop product vision, roadmap, discovery, implementation and scaling for large complex, and ambiguous projects in retail and eCommerce by driving the product discovery process, conducting iterative prototyping, and executing multiple business plans and projects, to ensure business needs are being met.

  • Lead our team(s) (Engineering and Product) to identify and employ internal tools to strengthen operational processes and implement improved programmatic mitigations and controls.

  • Lead a team to deploy various solutions/products for variety of Business needs spanning across like privacy and compliance.

  • Effectively handle multiple initiatives and be accountable for delivering multiple releases on schedule with highest quality standards.

  • Work closely with engineering and product leadership to prioritize initiatives to deliver the greatest value to the business.

  • Identify, implement, and communicate best practices for engineering/product

  • Technical Leadership:  Drive high-level architectural decisions and designs based on business priorities and requirements.

  • Balance multiple priorities, partner with relevant stakeholders across the organization and clearly communicate with business stakeholders about deliverables.  Accelerate execution of the strategy by leading cross-group alignment and prioritization.

  • Build high-performance team(s).

  • Drive to deliver business focused results through alignment, partnering, and iterative/agile development.

  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports.

  • Review and guide the team to build desired architectural and design artifacts in line with the requirements.

  • Serve as an internal and external evangelist for your product.  Influence prioritization of the product roadmap by evangelizing the opportunity and strategy with relevant teams across the company.


What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of software development experience using open source technologies like java, spark, scala and related technologies, RESTful web services and structured and unstructured databases like Teradata, Hadoop, Mongo DB.

  • 5+ years of experience running global product/engineering teams of at-least 3+ pm’s/engineers, and coaching, mentoring individuals to grow in their career

  • Strong problem-solving skills both in the technology and leadership/influence areas

  • Thorough understanding of the agile software development processes with distributed development teams and proven experience in delivering complex projects on time with high quality

  • Capable of handling ambiguous business requirements with excellent prioritization, time management abilities, and a focus on execution.

  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and leadership experience -- leading meetings, presenting, building high performing teams, and being a cross-functional leader.

  • Enjoys “rolling up sleeves” to make an impact with a high degree of ownership and accountability

  • Rich experience in Technology Architecture, Program Management, Risk & Impediment Management, Cost & Revenue Management, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and implementation of data warehousing projects including API (Application Programmable Interface) service migration.

  • Extensive working background in strategic planning; product development; portfolio and program management; change management & organizational development; and process development and improvement.

  • Having strong technical skills in Big Data tools and technologies (Hadoop/HDFS/HBase/Pig/Hue etc.) and Cloud solutions (Google, Azure).

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in data product development and monetization a plus.

  • Experience building applications on Cloud and Hybrid infrastructure

  • Experience in open source tech stack

  • Experience in privacy or technology compliance or a related field

  • Experience working in and influencing diverse stakeholders in cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, content strategists, and lawyers
