What you'll do...
Sets the vision, builds the roadmap, and designs the operational capabilities necessary to successfully deliver next-generation clinical operations.
Develops the business case, strategy, operations, and resource management for decentralized trial solutions using Walmart data and infrastructure.
Oversees clinical research operations and directs the clinical research operations staff, including directors and managers.
Provides training for the research operations team.
Develops, tracks, and manages key performance indicators for research operations.
Actively participates in the implementation and execution of research operation activities (for example, study start-up preparations, planning, execution, closure).
Leads or materially participates in investigator, customer, project, and department meetings as needed.
Oversees the operational team enlisting, maintaining, and ensuring protocol compliance.
Builds and implements standard operating procedures for the WHRI research operations team.
Leverages outside-the-box thinking to develop a new delivery model for research operations within the construct of a retail environment.
Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.

10 years’ operational experience in clinical development.
Prior work experience with decentralized trials and/or digital healthcare operations and implementation.
Prior work experience in a clinical research environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Prior work experience with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
3 years’ managerial experience.
