About Walmart Supply Chain Finance
Walmart's Supply Chain is hiring a Senior Finance Manager I to support our highly innovated and automated Next Gen Fulfillment Network. You will be providing business insights and partnership to the operation to set and meet financial goals, while maintaining controllership to safeguard Walmart assets and allow for accurate financial reporting. Finance ensures that operations have the necessary reporting and support to understand, execute, and deliver the financial plan. You will provide insightful financial analysis and facilitate connectivity on decisions and impacts. Your role will be rooted in data and you will establish cross-functional partnerships to drive the business together. You will be a key part of Next Gen Fulfillment success and will report to the Next Gen Finance Director.
How you'll make an impact:
Obtains in-depth knowledge of the operation and acts as the finance lead within site level leadership team
Proactively identifies areas of financial and operational improvement by being integrated into the day-to-day cadence of the operations partner
Finance’s knowledge scales from having the ability to understand daily shift plans and performance to being able to develop an accurate Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
Provides variances analysis and drives improvement by; understanding root cause of variance, supporting development of corrective actions, and driving accountability through site leadership to course correct
Responsible for controllership and reporting and understanding of fixed and variable cost
Knowledge is critical in the labor and financial planning process as they are the “boots on ground” to identify and communicate site level headwinds and tailwinds for fixed and variable cost targets
Engages with senior leadership on key issues and proposes business solutions, with business partners and across Supply Chain Finance
What you'll bring:
You can manage process improvement and the standardization of financial metrics.
You can support automation efforts through Walmart’s investments in data platforms.
You have experience developing scorecards and dashboards, and leveraging them in insightful conversation that drives understanding actionable change.
You have finance experience in retail, supply chain or logistics.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 2 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area OR 4 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area.
1+ years of experience leading and completing cross-functional projects
1+ years of senior leadership decision support and influencing experience
Merchandise finance experience
Strong foundation in strategic FP&A, focused on long term strategic planning, forecasting and analysis
Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
Detail and results-oriented with sense of urgency
