Do you want to use your financial skills to support the technologists building some of the buzziest areas within Walmart?  The Director of Technology Finance supports the EVP of New Business and Emerging Technologies and will play a critical role in driving some of Walmart’s most high-profile growth areas – including ad & marketing technology, health & wellness, data ventures, B2B, and emerging technologieskey differentiators for the company as we strive to fundamentally shift the economics of our business.   


This is a strategic role requiring not just strong financial acumen, but also exceptional business partnering and cross-functional skillsYou will be a key member of the EVP’s leadership team, in addition to leading the core forecasting, month end, and planning activitiesYou’ll make an impact by: 

  • Influence & LeadershipLeverage industry knowledge, business acumen, and relationship building skills to influence and drive results.  

  • Decision Support. Provide robust financial analysis to estimate tech costs for new businesses, evaluate tradeoffs for new features & functionality, and assist with any acquisitions.   

  • Planning & Prioritization. Lead annual operating plan and long-range planPartner with stakeholders to ensure efficient and optimal allocation of resources to align business needs with the company’s financial goals. 

  • FP&AGuide business partner to deliver on FY24 P&L. Lead monthly close and forecasting; identify risks and opportunities.  Provide actionable insights to Tech leadership during monthly business reviews.  Identify opportunities to improve existing processes. 

  • TeamOversee one dedicated US-based associate and two indirect associates in India.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 10+ years’ experience in finance or relevant area, including at least 3 years of business partnering roles, supporting senior executives 

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field

The annual salary range for this position is $105,000.00-$223,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area OR 7 years’ experience
i n accounting, finance, or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
2 years’ experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
