This role is open to candidates who would work (and/or relocate) in one of our office locations (Bentonville, AR or Hoboken, NJ or San Bruno, CA).

The Editorial Senior Manager for Home eCommerce will translate business and site objectives into visual solutions and site pages that engage and convert customers to drive GMV for Walmart. The Editorial Manager will partner with the rest of Site Merchandising to leverage data, reporting and analytics to build compelling shopping experiences that blend content and commerce seamlessly.

This person will work with the Product Development/Design/Marketing/Merchant teams on key seasonal storytelling messages and manage the editorial calendar and content strategy for Home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creative briefing, trend spotting, and asset planning for all digital channels (website, CRM, social, display, affiliates, etc.)

  • Product curation and content ideation for photoshoots

  • Drive impact through integrated messaging and visual storytelling

  • Create an inspirational, seamless shopping experience to help drive brand perception, conversion and customer satisfaction for our eCommerce & store business while being mindful of strengthening SEO opportunities

  • Apply data to innovate shopping experiences and templates with scalability for all categories in Home

  • Manage a team of editorial associates

  • You’re a thought leader who can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals, enabling you to earn trust at all levels

  • You use both sides of the brain and can combine data, customer insights and creative intuition to optimize editorial content, deliver on business goals and create a best in-class customer shopping experience

  • You have excellent presentation skills and are comfortable sharing out ideas and presenting work to executive leadership

  • You have an incredible focus on operational excellence and getting the fundamentals right and can identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement

  • You are a strong people leader and believe in and prioritize the collective success of the team and are quick to jump in, help, mentor, and coach your fellow team members

  • You are effective in building cross functional partnerships and strategies with Marketing, Homepage, and other Divisions for linking opportunities

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Leading the content strategy for Home across all departments – You’ll use trends and customer insights to tell a cohesive story and create a seamless customer experience, overseeing the editorial calendar, trend forecasting, photography curation and creative planning

  • Implementing best practices: You’ll track and monitor the performance and impact of editorial strategy and adjust practices and guidelines based on the results

  • Telling a story across multiple marketing touchpoints – You’ll identify key stories and corresponding assets that can transcend across site, email, social, print, in-store, tv and throughout the affiliate space to drive maximum sales driving impact

  • Leveraging data to optimize the content strategy– You’ll leverage data, reporting and analytical insights to set goals, measure success and continually refine our content mix and strategy

  • Becoming an invaluable strategic partner to internal stakeholders – You’ll advise on and partner with various internal teams to improve processes, identify opportunities, and scale best practice and governance, driving continual assessment and improvement of content strategy direction and execution

  • Operating with excellence – You’ll land the fundamentals and create and help scale efficiency and best-in-class workflows, processes and timelines, embedding operational excellence into everything you do and developing associates on the team to increase capabilities and enhance skills, knowledge and performance

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in business or related field or equivalent experience in Business or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in eCommerce Merchandising, UI/UX, Business Management or related field

  • 5 year experience in eCommerce Merchandising, UI/UX, Interactive & Visual Design, Digital Content or Storytelling

  • Experience in consumer-focused eCommerce environment

  • Strong customer obsession focused on building the right site experience for our customer

  • Creative and analytical – can comfortably leverage data to inform creative strategy and drive conversion

  • Ability to set clear objectives and performance measures

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a cross-functional team and willingness to take on responsibilities outside primary job description when necessary

  • 3-5 years supervisory experience

  • Assertive, adaptable and demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

  • Owns a portfolio of content and editorial pages that can be shown in the interview process

The annual salary range for this position is $119,000.00-$221,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives
