Oversees and validates the income tax returns and other reporting of operations by developing and executing plans to analyze data; supporting controls over income tax reporting, accruals, and payments; reviewing tax work papers; executing and ensuring correction of deficiencies; guiding and mentoring analysts in income tax compliance processes and procedures; and preparing and reporting tax results.
Supports tax and strategic initiatives (for example, treasury/audit/business strategies) by prioritizing requirements; identifying system enhancement needs and developing unique solutions in partnership with technology; ensuring system/process enhancements meet compliance obligations, potential risk mitigation, and long-term business strategy; keeping informed of current tax developments; and applying tax knowledge to customer situations.
Supports audit and negotiation strategies by advocating for the company in tax return audits when necessary; participating in tax organizations; managing tax risks; assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures regarding documentation; evaluating the impact of taxation and business trends; assisting in establishing work processes to ensure tax reporting compliance; and keeping current on changes in the tax law and their effect on tax processes.
Provides guidance and influences business partners on projects and initiatives by partnering with project teams; developing project implementation plans; managing and facilitating tax related activities; addressing irregularities discovered during routine reviews; reviewing, evaluating, and determining impact of new and pending tax legislation on company; managing communication of law changes in tax regulations to ensure accurate preparation of tax returns; and preparing, documenting, and communicating tax positions.
Manages the implementation of complex tax activities and initiatives by collaborating with subject matter experts to maintain and align compliance policies with tax laws and regulations; researching and providing analysis on impacts of federal legislative matters on the company; interpreting legislation to determine impact to the company; communicating legislative changes; and identifying and developing needed system or process changes to remain compliant with tax laws.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field and 4 years’ experience in accounting, tax audits, tax planning, or related area OR 6
years’ experience in accounting, tax audits, tax planning, or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
