Walmart Transportation Solutions (WTS) US Product team is responsible for end-to-end supply chain logistics applications and Transportation Management System to optimize service to the customer while optimizing cost and unlocking productivity.  We are innovating at a rapid pace to connect Inbound-Outbound processes with advanced optimization engines, automation technology to transform load consolidation, trailer planning, dynamic routing and unlock large scale, big data network simulations.

The inbound (IB) transportation process ingests and moves goods from thousands of suppliers to the Walmart ecosystem of Distribution Centers, Import Centers, Center Points, etc. A critical product that fuels IB transportation is an optimization engine that aims to solve for optimal load plan, cost, service, mode (OTR, Rail, LTL, Intermodal,..), node to ingest to fulfill demand for transportation of goods from a supplier to a Walmart node

Optimization for transportation of goods from suppliers aims to answer questions such as:

  • Which orders can be associated with one workload to reduce trucks on the road?

  • Which orders should go through a consolidation center?

  • Which mode to use for transportation of goods (OTR, Rail, LTL, SMPK, Intermodal)?

The IB Optimization Principal Product Manager role will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of Product Strategy to Delivery and defining a multi-year roadmap in partnership with Business, Operations, Engineering and multiple enterprise partners. This role will with also partner with outbound product, suppliers, procurement, data scientists and technologists. This role location is flexible and can be located in Bentonville, AR, Sunnyvale, CA, Dallas, TX, or Seattle, WA.

The annual salary range for this position is $168,000.00-$252,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives
