We’re currently looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing Planning & Retention Strategy to grow our team!

What you’ll do…

We’re looking for a highly strategic and customer-centric thinker who can help develop and implement the vision for member retention communications through utilization of key marketing channels (including email, push, direct mail, SMS, etc). You will also partner cross functionally, with internal teams as well as external agencies, to drive cutting edge innovation - helping Sam’s lead the way in using data and personalization to drive engagement from our members.

You’ll make an impact by…

  • Working cross-functionally to develop, lead, and execute omni-channel marketing strategies for lifecycle, conversion/transaction, and other similar campaigns to drive member growth, engagement, and retention throughout the customer journey

  • Overseeing and performing customer segmentation analytics (behavioral, attitudinal, demographic) and formulating a segmentation strategy within our current member base to optimize campaign performance

  • Using innovation and data driven personalization across channels to increase incremental performance and to nurture and retain members

  • Managing both creative and data deliverables to ensure content is aligned with business strategy and goals and that deliverables/timelines are being met

  • Defining and owning goals, KPIs, budget and revenue forecasts

  • Developing testing strategies (A/B and multivariate tests) in partnership with Decision Science to continually optimize all areas of the program, including identifying opportunities to better understand our member segments and their lifecycle and behaviors

  • Presenting hindsight campaign reporting - ensuring that all share outs include key learnings

  • Partnering with Product and Tech teams to communicate and share out data requirements for marketing needs while prioritizing initiatives based on business objectives

  • Managing the day-to-day campaign operations:

    • Creating detailed project briefs including channel and creative guidance

    • Inputting new projects into project management tool and schedule creator

    • Requesting project estimates from vendor partners

    • Opening/updating POs via Procure It system

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

  • You are organized, disciplined, and can problem solve

  • You possess superior communication skills, flexibility, and grace under pressure

  • You have an analytical mindset with experience using data to identify trends and garner business insights to continually optimize performance

  • You have 5-8 years of retention marketing experience across areas including CRM, marketing channels (email, direct mail, push), engagement, customer segmentation, and promotions in a B2C environment

  • You are results-oriented with a track record of delivering on goals for retention marketing programs

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree, with a Master’s degree being a plus

The annual salary range for this position is $105,000.00-$195,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

- Stock equity incentives
