Are you passionate about using data to create value in a high-impact role? Walmart is hiring a Senior Manager in Finance to support the Site Experience team. In this role you will be an end-to-end owner of large datasets and will rely on your financial acumen, storytelling, and data visualization skills to surface actionable insights that solve complex business problems. This role is part of the Walmart U.S. Omni Finance team.

The ideal candidate will have a dual passion for both business intelligence and ecommerce finance and have the expertise to harness big data in the most powerful of ways. The ability to understand business trends, foresee financial opportunities and risks, and influence business results effectively makes up an important part of everyday responsibilities. This role will have a heavy focus on managing organic and non-paid Traffic KPIs and developing strategies and tactics to improve.

  • You use numbers to build a compelling story by finding new opportunities or patterns to explain the ‘what’ and ‘why’ behind performance and complex subjects.
  • You are a “Master of Customer Data” by having strong skills in SQL, Google Big Query, Power BI or any modern tech stack and have a great eye for detail and can articulate points in a simplistic approach and in a measurable way.
  • You are curious and always on the pulse of the customer, trends, and competition to stay relevant and ahead; recognizing there is an art and a science behind the numbers.
  • You know digital marketing inside and out and have experience in digital transformation within retail.
  • You can effectively connect the health of key digital metrics (Traffic, Conversion, Ticket, SEM, SEO, etc.) to attributable business growth.
  • You are a great communicator, able to communicate your insights and findings to senior level leadership.
  • You are someone who can who gets things done, big or small, with strong discipline and organization skills.
  • You are creative and resilient, always looking for new ways to approach problems and drive business performance.

You’ll make an impact by…

  • Being the Financial lead for the Site Experience Finance team to partner with Marketing Teams to ensure the strategy is aligned to business priorities, sales cycle, and financial goals.
  • Providing input for business decisions by producing financial models to translate digital and traffic metrics to financial results by incorporating assumptions, identifying tradeoff, and known risks; preparing presentations and other supporting materials for recommendations; and participating in business case presentations to senior and executive management.
  • Developing the financial forecasting process for digital and traffic metrics; incorporating input from business partners (Site Merchandising, Site Operations, and Marketing); and both presenting and clarifying forecasts and assumptions with senior management.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams such as Analytics, Strategy, Walmart Connect and Marketing to conduct in-depth analysis to identify new opportunities, track campaigns and events results and create and manage dashboards that fully quantify value of efforts.
  • Partnering with finance teams to analyze existing operational processes and identify opportunities for optimization or automation.
  • Tracking and measuring traffic results from a financial perspective including overall traffic, conversion, and AOV
  • Having relevant experience in finance and strategy roles within Digital Marketing or Traffic space. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field. Or, alternatively, possess 4+ years of professional experiencing working directly with big datasets and corporate finance in Analytics, Planning, Business Management, Digital Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area. Ecommerce experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of business intelligence, analytics experience and/or digital marketing.
  • 2+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, Marketing Finance, FP&A, or another related financial field.
  • Expert proficiency in Power BI, Google Big Query and Advanced SQL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in and across large cross-functional organizations with executive level business and marketing leaders, particularly across media, retail, social media and/or ecommerce.
  • Solid knowledge of advertising KPIs: CPC, CTR, ROAS, conversion rate, marketing channels, etc.
  • Strong understanding of the advertising technology and data/performance measurement trends.

The annual salary range for this position is $105,000.00-$195,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
