Come join the Sam’s Club Private Brands Creative Packaging team, where your ideas will be put into action.  As a Design Project Manager, you’ll work closely and collaborate with art directors, copywriters, merchandisers, and private brand partners to create packaging assets that are on brand and meet the business objectives. We’re a talented group of creative thinkers who enjoy what we do and have fun along the way. In our collaborative and fast-paced environment, we’re productive but not rigid.

From project management across general merchandise in Private Brands — including packaging, photo shoots, development and driving adherence to timelines, and process improvements — you’ll be a part of every aspect in elevating our brand.

You’ll make an impact by…

  • Collaborating with Art Directors, Designers, Copywriters, and Brand Managers to create packaging solutions for Private Brands.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders (Brand Managers, Designers), as well as external vendors, to make packaging decisions.
  • Supporting the design team to execute creative concepts and design solutions for packaging under the guidance of Art Directors, translating business needs into innovative solutions.
  • Providing Project Management support from strategy to initial concept to hand-off of assets to suppliers.
  • Supporting Design Team in developing and communicating brand/visual style guidelines and standards.
  • Driving and supporting design process and system improvements to improve organization efficiency.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

  • You’re a problem solver and conceptual thinker with at least 2 - 5 years of professional experience in the design/creative project management space.
  • You think creatively and analytically and are detail-oriented.
  • You’re creative while still following guidelines and templates.
  • You’re collaborative and receptive to new ideas.
  • You have a basic understanding of the packaging design process.
  • You have a positive, can-do attitude and feel at home working both collaboratively and independently.
  • You have great time management skills and are able to handle tight timelines and juggle multiple projects at once.
  • You have an understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
  • You’re a team player with an ability to positively influence change through solid rationale and supporting data or similar experience.
  • You possess the ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • You have retail industry/omni-channel experience.
