What you'll do at

Supports the execution of tax planning by modeling, updating tax analysis, and working with tax leadership; demonstrating an understanding of tax concepts; discussing tax issues with business teams; and keeping informed of current tax developments and effectively applying tax knowledge.   Manages state sales, use, and excise tax returns, forms, and reporting of operations by gathering financial data from departments and divisions; managing -tax notices and recommending resolutions to issues within established timelines to senior management; reviewing and responding to information requisitions; defining processes for collecting and reporting taxes; working with cross-functional teams to improve internal reporting systems; and presenting tax results to senior management.   Manages accuracy and integrity of tax audits by assessing tax work papers for US operations; providing support to internal and external auditors to ensure accurate financial statement reporting; maintaining and testing processes for Sarbanes- Oxley reporting and compliance; facilitating audit documentation maintenance and procedural developments by sharing audit process information with compliance; communicating audit process irregularities to appropriate management; supports risk mitigation strategies for tax processes; determining system or process enhancements to ensure compliance; collaborating with leadership to develop strategic plans based on assessing risks; and maximizing efficiencies in processes to reduce potential exposure for the company.   Innovates through evaluation of process and technology; consistently seeks opportunities through data analytics to enhance and develop processes leading to efficient and functional ways of working. Strategically collaborates with stakeholders; develops and recommends creative solutions to unique circumstances through thoughtful analysis; and interprets visual and verbal communication to reach successful outcomes. Facilitates trainings and mentoring initiatives by creating and conducting cross-functional team training sessions; assisting in mentoring and developing team members; providing one-on-one training and mentoring to associates ; supporting the function by researching and forecasting tax and audit trends ; managing tax-related systems and process changes across the company and subsidiaries to ensure compliance by identifying opportunities for system and tax form enhancements ; documenting and completing enhancement requests; and partnering with key stakeholders to design, test, and implement system improvements.   Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness.   Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field and 1 year’s experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or related area OR 3 years’ experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or related area.
