Job Overview: The Senior Manager II, Procurement – eAuction Strategy plays a critical role in the success of International Indirect Spend Management’s (ISM) developing a roadmap of procurement activities and negotiation strategies. The Associate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement project pipeline, from identification, strategy development, execution, and results reporting. The core area of focus will be ISM’s eAuctions / electronic negotiations (Interactive Bidding Events or “IB”) multi-billion-dollar program in a wide variety of direct and indirect Goods and Services for Walmart Stores. The Associate will interact with ISM sourcing professionals and their suppliers from multiple markets, in order to create, plan and execute IB strategies. Successful associates will leverage standardized processes and technologies to enable the success for Program KPI’s.  


  • Develop eAuction/Interactive Bidding strategy for complex sourcing projects, including lotting structure, event parameters, supplier communication etc. based on the RFx supplier details, preferred award scenarios, timelines, and market conditions 

  • Evaluate the strategic sourcing pipeline and identify potential candidates for Interactive Bidding 

  • Through effective communication and experience, convince stakeholders to conduct Interactive Bidding for projects where applicable 

  • Hold discussions with sourcing teams to update project pipeline, identify gaps and resolve as required 

  • Conduct workshops/training sessions/roadshows for business stakeholders on as-needed basis for IB support or generating buy-in for particular projects 

  • Support development of RFx documents and management of the sourcing process as required 

  • Coordinate cross market knowledge sharing to develop IB strategies 

  • Drive adoption of IB across the spend categories (GNFR & GFR) 

  • Support coaching and development related to the broader sourcing processes and best practices 

  • Support award scenario building and bid analysis  

  • Provide effective reporting of results, performance, executive communications via PPT and Excel  

  • Effectively assign activities such as supplier trainings, communication, event scheduling, zoom invites etc. to the supporting Enablement specialists 




Required Experience: 

  • 3+ years managing eAuctions including strategy and/or execution, such as English, Dutch, Japanese, Transformation 

  • 5+ years direct work experience in a direct and/or indirect category Procurement 

  • Experience working in a global organization with a diverse group of stakeholders is an asset 


Relevant Skills:                    

  • English proficiency. Spanish and/or Mandarin proficiency is an asset 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for executive presentations 

  • Experience with Procurement ERP systems required, SAP Ariba experience highly preferred 

  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment 

  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics, technology, or related field and 5 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field. Option 2: 6 years' experience in procurement strategy, contract management, analytics, or related field and 2 years' experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.
