About the Job

All staff in our Fulfillment Centers are responsible for getting Walmart customers their orders. You are responsible for ensuring smooth day to day operation of the Outbound department within the fulfillment center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Serve as a lead over the Quality Control, Shipping, and Dock areas of the warehouse; train and provide direction and guidance to assigned staff; prioritize work assignments
  • Coaching, mentoring, counselling and performance management of approximately 30 Associates 
  • Oversee quality of boxes and ensure trailers are loaded correctly and safely 
  • Identify areas for improvements in safety, quality, service and productivity 
  • Communicate all work related records such as attendance and employee assessments to management, along with communicating with FedEx drivers
  • In addition, one of the most important aspects of your job is to lead change at lightning speeds... our growth is relentless. 
  • Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each 
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head 
  • Walking in the FC and around area with great frequency 
  • Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily 
  • Ability to work in construction /distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air-conditioned 
  • Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation)  

Requirements

  • Must be able to engage, motivate and provide timely associate feedback
  • Performance- Must currently be meeting or exceeding department productivity metric expectations
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Thor system
  • Strong written and verbal communication important
  • Detail-oriented
  • Approachable – willingness to answer employee questions
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills required
  • Must have a full point when the position closes
  • Candidates must be open to work a variety of shifts
