Jet’s goal is to make city living better and the Business Development team at Jet is focused on developing Jet’s new consumer shopping experience within urban areas.   Jet’s Business Development team is working on multiple projects to develop a better delivery experience within NYC and other urban areas.  Working at Jet - within the Walmart portfolio - allows Jet to innovate using our massive combined resources to have impact at scale and reinvent eCommerce.

About the Role:

The Director of Customer Experience on the Jet Business Development team will be the customer-focused lead for Jet’s new project focused on urban shopping. You will be an entrepreneur within the Jet framework – helping drive innovation in a way that is unique to large cities like NYC.

 What you’ll do:

  • Leading the Business Development team’s efforts to establish a Jet customer journey, a Jet customer point of view and solve Jet customer pain points for Business Development projects
  • Develop the customer strategy across for specific Business Development projects focused on NYC, with an eye towards helping better serving the Jet customer
  • Be the Business Development leader to influence decisions for Jet’s customer service, product and customer experience related to new projects
  • Build customer value propositions and acquisition strategies for new Jet projects
    • Work with the Jet marketing, Jet tech and product teams and Jet curation/operations to add customer point of view into these projects
    • Detail full marketing plans specific to these projects
    • Work closely with various Jet teams to move these new projects forward
    • Build relationship for project with various teams in Bentonville and San Bruno
    • Own the key customer metrics for certain Jet projects (TBD)
  • Be a part of a small Jet Business Development Team
    • Champion the Jet project throughout Jet and Walmart
    • Work well across many Jet and Walmart functions to build support and consensus
  • Create the Jet customer experience for the Jet projects specific to NYC
    • Help establish practices and continuously improve them through testing and learning
    • Set and work within a budget but know when to escalate
  • Work with the Jet customer and marketing team to further develop the Jet brand in new projects
  • Communicate frequently with multiple stakeholders
    • Maintain constant communication and best-practice sharing with Bentonville and Hoboken headquarters
    • Help provide/present business updates as needed – Jet management, other teams, etc.

What you should have:

  • 6-10 years of customer-focused experience in ecommerce and/or traditional retail marketing
  • 3-4 years of leadership experience
  • Past experience in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, but with the ability to scale within a large organization (like Walmart, the Fortune 1!)
  • Past experience most or all of the following ecommerce and retail functions: marketing, customer journeys
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, remote teams or management
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Able to travel domestically as needed
