Project Manager, Exclusive Fashion Brands (Private Label)

Walmart eCommerce is looking for a fashion savvy and detail-oriented Project Manager that thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our Exclusive Fashion Brands Team.  This position manages the day-to-day workflow of our exclusive online fashion brands including but not limited to seasonal product development timelines, product delivery and launch dates, marketing and site experience milestones, and external partner meetings, while working cross functionally with merchandising, marketing, planning, manufacturing and site operations partners to ensure that our exclusive fashion brands hit our site looking great and on-time for the season.

Serving as the main point of contact and communication lead, you will be accountable for successful management of assigned projects while making sure all deliverables are on time & within budget with a positive and fierce go getter attitude. This position requires strong experience in planning, production, and implementation of large scale projects across different teams. The position requires extreme attention to detail, ability to build out comprehensive project plans and timelines and influence partners without having direct authority over them. The ideal candidate is process oriented, has expertise in project management and is familiar with merchandising, manufacturing and product development concepts within the fashion category. This person must be able to communicate clearly, understand complex situations while being able to explain and digest in a simplistic way, understand the business needs, gather project requirements, set timelines, and manage cross functional team expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage seasonal fashion deliveries from concepting stage through delivery. Work with internal and external partners to gather project scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets and deadlines.
  • Develop milestones and manage calendars for projects and work with merchandising, manufacturing and marketing partners to ensure work stays on track and meets deadlines/budgets
  • Drive team communication, both within core team and to management / leadership team
  • Organize and lead cross functional meetings to ensure all stakeholders are involved in current discussions and receive clear guidelines on appropriate next steps
  • Evaluate project timeline, cost/budget to ensure the project is meeting business expectations
  • Manage relationships and communicate project information to all stakeholders at a level appropriate to their needs and proactively keep team members on deadlines in an effective but collaborative way
  • Distill and translate complex information into clear takeaways and actions for the team
  • Manage timelines of all deliverables and escalate issues where necessary to management with proposals of next steps / solutions
  • Assess and manage risk within projects, identify contingency plans where needed and make strategic recommendations for changes to current and future project plans and overall requirements to meet organizational needs.
  • Assist in writing, implementing and training of new processes and document feedback and review change requests and iteration schedule
  • Establish a structure for meeting with senior leadership and multiple functional teams; responsible for scheduling and running all key meetings related to seasonal timeline

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years project management experience working in e-commerce fashion brand or retailer
  • Ability to multi-task and simultaneously complete multiple projects
  • Highly organized and self-disciplined with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and resources
  • Exceptional, clear communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented, efficient, self-starter, highly productive and collaborative approach to work
  • Knowledge and understanding of apparel, shoes and accessories production processes
  • Capacity to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong written & oral communication and presentation skills
  • A track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Managed and worked with cross-functional and external partners (merchandising, production, marketing) who are distributed across offices and geographies
  • Demonstrated a can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
