What You’ll Do at Jet
The media team drives the strategy and execution for online and offline paid customer acquisition and retention at Jet. The team combines analytical skill with creative marketing expertise to drive top-of-funnel brand awareness, and efficient monetization of performance marketing channels. In short, you will manage a large marketing budget, a sophisticated team, and leverage cutting-edge data and attribution methodology, with an eye towards design, to change the face of urban retail.

Key Challenges

Growth:
● Manage a large, multi-million dollar monthly marketing budget to drive both efficient and healthy customer acquisition + paid retention (where CAC is less than LTV within a reasonable payback period)
● Own the deployment of marketing capital across all media channels both offline (e.g. TV, Out of Home, Direct Mail, Radio, etc) and online (e.g. Search, Display, Paid Social, Mobile apps, etc)
● Define the testing framework(s) for your team to constantly improve performance and brand marketing in all channels (e.g. audience targeting: creative execution, bid optimization, etc) to fuel increasing marginal returns on our invested marketing dollars
● Partner with the Brand and Creative teams to define and execute our long-term brand building efforts
● Define the business strategy for improved marketing measurement, working closely with Analytics and Insights to build and deploy sophisticated algorithmic multi-touch attribution solutions with a constant eye towards incrementality
● Share media plans and results with the broader organization to give insight into the role and contribution of the media team to the overall business

Leadership and Strategy
● Build, manage, and mentor a best-in-class channel marketing team
● Work closely with Finance and senior Jet.com leadership to forecast marketing budget and plan against Jet.com’s P/L and strategic goals
● Partner with Retail and Seasonal Marketing to drive cross-category growth in strategic categories, during key seasonal moments
● Collaborate closely with the consumer product and merchandising teams to optimize the consumer acquisition funnel
● Define the business strategy for marketing and ad-tech product, building internally where appropriate, and utilizing outside partners with differentiated offerings to give us a competitive advantage

About You

Must-Haves
● 10+ years of deep experience and demonstrated success in a highly analytical, data intensive growth marketing role
● Demonstrated ability to leverage analytics and large data sets to drive growth, but with an eye towards creative aesthetics and brand experience
● Experience leveraging data for media planning in both online and offline channels
● Deep channel expertise in at least one (if not more) digital media channels
● A track record of building, leading, and motivating high performing marketing teams
● Entrepreneurial spirit, with a proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks, while uniting teams, in a fast-paced environment
● BA/BS degree with strong academic record
