What you'll do at

We are seeking a Senior Network Design Engineer professional in our Sunnyvale, CA office.

Duties: Monitor network infrastructure devices to proactively identify issues that could affect and affiliate websites customer journey. Automate day to day network tasks to increase productivity using in-house and third party tools such as Ansible and Jenkins. Automate network packet broker updates, kick starts, and configure management and updates. Integrate Network Alerting with enterprise communication application to automate pager alerts to on-call Engineers for any critical alerts. Provide Network and Security Operations Center with visibility into Network health. Troubleshoot critical network issues impacting outside customers and internal consumers. Design next-generation Network Datacenter with an emphasis on open-source and white box solutions and leaf-spine architecture. Solve critical design requirements and provide efficient routing, switching, and load balancing for all consumers based on layer 3 Leaf-Spine architecture. Provide visibility to downstream applications on the network flow to reduce latency and round trip time. Design and implement creative solutions to growing requirements for deployment in existing infrastructure. Perform Network analysis to forecast bandwidth requirements for the next 5 years and plan network optimization and capacity deployment.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (Any), Computer Science or related field and 2 years of network engineering experience.

Skills required: Experience designing and implementing Enterprise level network monitoring fabric to provide analytical insights. Experience providing business critical user data from Network Packet brokers and tapping architecture. Experience troubleshooting critical network routing and switching issues with Network infrastructures based on various technologies such as BGP, HSRP, STP. Experience integrating Web Application Firewalls to the network DMZ. Experience designing and integrating international payment providers over dedicated network connections. Experience upgrading existing infrastructure consisting on routers, switches, load balancers, network packet brokers. Experience solving complex design problems by working with application and cloud teams to deliver a stable Network Infrastructure for consumer needs. Experience automating network fabric kickstart and handoff using Python, Ansible and Jenkins. Experience integrating Network Alert with enterprise connectivity enhancement tools to provide visibility to consumers and remote teams using Python and REST APIs. Experience decommissioning End-of-life and End-of-Maintenance legacy network and MPLS infrastructure and migrating tenants to new purpose built state-of-the-art Data Centers.
