What you'll do at

Walmart Global eCommerce is seeking a talented Category Marketing Manager to oversee the strategic development and day-to-day management of Pharmacy category marketing programs. The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing programs that will grow the e-commerce Pharmacy business. The Marketing Manager will work with cross-functional partners and his/her manager to develop and implement strategies to acquire new Pharmacy customers, to increase share of wallet for current Pharmacy customers, and to differentiate and drive customer preference for Walmart’s online Pharmacy.

Specific responsibilities include:
•Marketing Strategy and Planning (30%). Leverage insights to capture business opportunity.
-Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Pharmacy retail team, site experience, creative content, Stores team) to identify opportunities to differentiate and drive preference for shopping Pharmacy at, to acquire and retain new Pharmacy customers, and to drive loyalty and frequency among current Pharmacy customers.
-Develop and advocate innovative solutions to customer issue/need(s) that present an opportunity for the category business. Combine customer and category knowledge with analysis of current opportunities to develop tactical strategies that will drive value for the business (e.g. revenue, increased share of wallet, higher CLTV). Own annual operating plan for Pharmacy, adapting category strategies/tactics as needed to deliver on business goals/KPIs even as the business environment shifts.
-Partner with Category Marketing Lead for Heath & Wellness to drive cross-channel shopping and increased AOV for Pharmacy customers.

•Voice of the Customer (10%). Turn customer information into actionable insights.
-Leverage a wealth of primary and secondary customer data sources to surface and identify actionable Pharmacy customer insights. Become the go-to resource or expert on e-Commerce and omni-channel customer audience(s), and develop an insights-driven point of view that will inform targeted program strategies and tactics.

•Marketing Execution and Optimization (60%). Bring strategies to life in market and optimize for ROI.
-Gain cross-functional alignment by building and defending the case for proposed category strategies and their potential impact on the business. Leverage formal processes and informal relationships to refine and hone your category program strategies and set them up for success.
-Manage the implementation of category programs to maximize business results. The Marketing Manager sets the vision and path forward for the execution of category marketing programs and facilitates efficient deployment of the same. Requires strong project management and leadership skills (e.g., identifies milestones or progress checkpoints, involves key stakeholders and cross-functional leadership as appropriate, understands project dependencies and parallel work streams, anticipates tracking and analytics requirements).
-Continually measure and optimize programs to drive long-term results. Persist and follow through after launch to adapt or pivot strategies per the business environment or performance against expected/estimated results, and/or to extend the learning and customer insights derived from the in-market program

Position Description
•Own the Pharmacy marketing strategy from development through execution
•Day to day project management of all online Pharmacy marketing programs
•Work cross-functionally with retail, creative, store, and corporate teams to ensure Pharmacy projects are on track for delivery
•Report on all campaign analytics and draw clear conclusions of performance to inform new projects
•Deliver on set KPIs (ex. ROI, CAC, qualified impressions and traffic, etc)
•Support Category Marketing Lead for Health and Wellness across all marketing programs for the category
•Travel ~5-10% (mostly to home office, Bentonville, AR and Hoboken, NJ or San Bruno CA)

Minimum Qualifications

Min Qualifications:
•4-6+ years experience
•Traditional and digital marketing experience
•Agency or client side background
•Bachelors degree in communications, management, or marketing or equivalent
•Knowledge and/or experience with owned/earned/paid media
•Strong communication skills (written, presentation, meeting management)
•Demonstrated ability to lead and execute large-scale marketing initiatives or campaigns
•Track record of planning and managing programs or tactics that delivered on business goals and expected KPIs or customer metrics

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Skills:
•Experience working within the healthcare or pharmacy fields.
•Unique point of view and passion for healthcare, retail innovation and/or online shopping
•Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills - enjoys motivating and inspiring others
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, taking a logical ‘test and learn’ approach
•Ability to manage cross-functionally, at all levels of the organization

The position is based in either San Bruno, CA or Hoboken, NJ.
