What you'll do at

Creates short to long term strategies and delivers optimal value for strategic initiatives by leading in-market strategic assessments to determine Fresh Food Manufacturing capabilities; providing financial analysis, operating model and capital allocation recommendations for future network growth; creating network re-design initiatives that will support the strategic vision; sharing global best practices; networking and building strategic alliances within the company and with suppliers, trade groups, non-governmental organizations, and executive leadership; and facilitating and executing the strategic vision.

Identifies and evaluates efficiency projects by analyzing and interpreting the cost effectiveness of each project; assessing fit between a project and the Fresh Food Manufacturing strategy; proactively engaging with industry contacts to identify and review new technologies that support Fresh Food Manufacturing objectives; determining impact and usability of new technologies; preparing and presenting project proposals to executives; negotiating contracts with suppliers or developers; and gaining support and approval on contracts.

Directs plans and projects that drive progress towards Fresh Food Manufacturing goals by coordinating projects between internal and external business units for minimal disruption to business activity and to maximize impact of project results; managing opportunity pipeline (for example, new technology, network and plant layout and redesign); developing and communicating business plans and priorities; identifying and tracking performance standards and metrics that ensure progress toward goals; and approving and managing budgets.

Leads the identification and development of new technology by staying up-to-date with industry trends; performing analysis (for example, cost, impact to business, bench testing) to determine viability of new technology; overseeing testing and simulation (for example, scale models) for viability and empirical data collection; developing and implementing pilot programs; and working with internal partners (for example, Legal, Operations, Procurement) to develop next steps.

Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.

Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.

Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

Bachelor degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field AND 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, mathematics, computer science, supply chain, transportation, or related field OR 7 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering

2 years’ of supervisory experience.

5 years’ experience in manufacturing engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Transportation, or related field.

7 years’ supervisory experience.

7 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.

5 years’ manufacturing experience.

7 years’ experience conducting resource planning.

5 years’ experience working on international projects.

Business speaking, writing and reading proficiency in a second language (for example, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish).
