What you'll do
In this role, you will partner with US eCommerce business leadership, Walmart’s Category specialists, and the Walmart Retail Technology organization on conceptualizing, designing, and building the next generation tool set that will help teams optimize customer experience, search, pricing, fulfillment, and more.
Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated product professional with a passion for combining process and product management and, ideally, brings experience in a Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma environment.
What You'll do
In this role, you will:
Develop, implement and monitor new data products and corresponding processes that that identify defects in our retail category operations and improve the overall customer experience
Contribute to the product strategy for our next generation exception management methodology
Build an effective roadmap and define user stories that support business objectives and user needs
Work at the confluence of data science, operations, merchandising and engineering to deliver cutting edge solutions at unprecedented scale
Work closely with stakeholders and engineering to deliver the systems and tools that serve as the "source of truth” of operations quality, contributing to one of Walmart’s most important initiatives
Measure, learn and iterate following feature delivery
Serve as an internal and external evangelist for your product
Who are you
You have a passion for and keen understanding of data analysis, operations and customer experience
You know how to build KPIs around systems and key processes, and monitor their status of attainment
Have previously assisted retail teams to improve operational excellence
You are able to convincingly communicate product vision, solutions and benefits of our new methodology to customers and stakeholders alike
You contribute to feature definition, planning and development efforts across technical teams with clarity and conviction
You are a proactive problem solver who operates effectively and independently, even in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity
You have deep customer empathy, and champion the needs of customers and stakeholders throughout the development process
You are intellectually curious, technically savvy, and maintain a sense of humor and humility
You think analytically and know how to leverage data to prioritize
Possess strong execution skills and ability to “drive” throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to launch
Someone people like working with!
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field, e.g. IE, IME, MFE, ME
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; with some prior experience presenting to executives, business and engineering alike
History of fostering strong cross-functional relationships between engineering, data science and business stakeholders alike
Ability to develop and implement a product strategy and make dynamic adjustments as landscapes shift
Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma a plus
