What you'll do

The Legal team provides its expertise across Walmart Global eCommerce. As a division of the largest retailer in the world, we deliver a wide array of legal services globally. The team manages commercial, regulatory, compliance, IP licensing, patent, trademark, copyright, open source, M&A, and corporate governance issues. This includes third-party disputes, intellectual property litigation, and more. Applying our vast legal know how to one of the fastest growing e-commerce organization is incredibly exciting and rewarding.

Oversees a large portfolio of projects through their lifecycle phases to successful completion by working in partnership with senior compliance leadership to develop overall project/program roadmaps and overall project/program schedules; identifying and managing critical path, cross- functional dependencies; collecting and analyzing project metrics to manage initiatives and drive accountability for the accomplishment of overall project objectives; identifying and procuring resources; preparing and maintaining a project risk assessment; developing and executing plans for managing risk; and escalating and communicating program related issues to appropriate levels of management.
Assists in the development and implementation of compliance strategies by collaborating with key stakeholders to strengthen strategies and ensure alignment of compliance initiatives; monitoring implementation of and providing advice and guidance on strategic initiatives to ensure progress is being made towards strategic goals; and leading special projects on behalf of the VP US Regulatory Compleince.
Develops and maintains key relationships to promote and build support for compliance initiatives by serving as VP US Regulatory Compliance liaison to stakeholders and representing Walmart at key public events.
Develop communication strategies that facilitate the flow of information between the VP US Regulatory Compliance and senior leadership and all stakeholders; designing and implementing internal and external communications processes; serving as a point of contact between the VP of US Regulatory Compliance, senior staff and other stakeholders; communicating ideas; communicating regularly with senior leadership and all stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals, strategies, and project status and responding to inquires as needed.
Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful reports.Work with Compliance Subject Matters Experts team to create a prioritized list of needs for each business. Assesses opportunities and determines strategy and approach for the Compliance Program
Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or related field and 4 years experience in compliance, project management or related field OR 6 years experience in compliance, project management or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business or related field
• Law degree.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or related project management certification
