What you'll do

Develops analytic frameworks, processes, and tools to evaluate and implement business change by identifying business problems; collecting data;
completing quantitative analyses; and designing and deploying user-friendly tools.

Assists in developing actionable strategies by resolving basic issues using experimental designs, exploratory data analysis, and predictive
techniques; analyzing and interpreting results of research studies; recommending actions to be taken; authoring and presenting those
recommendations to various stakeholders; and presenting communications for needed strategy change based on results from analytic work.

Develops and employs analytical models to evaluate and communicate the implications of business strategies by creating experimental designs and rigorous test and control methodologies; designing and managing advanced statistical models; validating model accuracy; and developing recommendations that are focused on Walmart's integrated goals.

Provides data-based insight for strategy by developing complete datasets needed to support project-level models; coordinating with internal and
external customers to build a consistent and accurate strategy for using metrics; developing univariate and multivariate models to determine critical factors influencing project objectives; performing or directing analyses utilizing advanced software and techniques (for example, statistical analysis software (SAS), Dynamic structured query language (SQL), mathematical modeling (MAT-LAB)); and evaluating and interpreting results accurately.

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business
plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related field and 5 years experience in an analytics
related field OR Master’s degree in Statistics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Statistics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related field.

2 years experience using cluster analysis techniques, simulation, inferential statistics, neural networks, or data mining techniques
