What you'll doDuties: Apply expertise in machine learning, data mining and statistics in order to develop models and software solutions to large scale learning, data analysis and automation problems that arise with connection to pricing automation in use in an ecommerce setting. Responsible for problems ranging from optimizing business processes, such as automation of data generation and audit to deeply technical such as query interpretation, feature extraction, Monte Carlo simulations. Utilize strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, multithreading and distributed systems while working with other data science and engineering team members on building robust, algorithm driven, automatic and semi-automatic software solutions for an ecommerce pricing application. Develop testing and audit software components to ensure correctness and operational excellency. Consult and study state-of-the-art research literature in order to apply cutting edge solutions applicable to practical problems in the domain of pricing and business data analytics.
Skills required: Scientific data analysis and statistics methods, including regression models, cross validation, principal component analysis, feature extraction, time series analysis, Monte Carlo methods. Machine learning tools in R or Python. C/C++ software development with large scale pricing systems. Delivering end-to-end production solutions including data ingestion and cleaning, application of machine learning, data mining and optimization algorithms and data visualization. Modular algorithm design and library development. Working with large datasets, use of MySQL. Using revision control, Makefiles. Working with and developing/improving testing frameworks.
