What you'll do

Serves as a transportation consultant and expert by representing Walmart on cross-functional teams addressing supply chain initiatives; identifying business changes to support new initiatives; collaborating with the internal and external teams to drive consistent efficiencies across the organization; and partnering with Walmart Logistics, E-commerce, and Fulfillment Center leadership to drive organizational goals, objectives, and strategic plans. Delivers effective execution for the business area by driving operational excellence; holding the team accountable; initiating and leading company change efforts to maximize desired results; conducting competitor assessments; monitoring the effectiveness and implementation of continuous improvement programs; and providing information and feedback for process improvements within the organization. Provides supervision and development opportunities for transportation management in multiple facilities by hiring; providing direction; setting expectations; holding facility managers accountable; rewarding; and guiding the development of transportation management . Oversees the supply chain flow for out-bound e-commerce merchandise from fulfillment centers by monitoring and measuring supplier and carrier performance, internal customer performance, and load assignments; monitoring, tracking, and allocating workload based on business needs; resolving issues elevated by suppliers, carriers, distribution center, and merchants; and directing special projects and seasonal surges through the traffic team. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and ensuring diversity awareness. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field and 4 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field OR 6 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field. 3 years’ experience managing vendor relationships. 3 years’ experience leading operational execution and continuous improvement initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field. 3 years’ experience in logistics engineering (for example, parcel network optimization). 3 years’ supervisory experience.
