What you'll doDuties: Responsible for database setup and setting of alerts and rules for DBAs. Resolve EM Agent upload issues. Implement Data Guard (Standby) for disaster recovery (DR) using active DG standby. Troubleshoot the real time apply issues on 11GR2 Dataguard. Administer and support the databases using the OEM 12C grid control like Scheduling backups, performance monitoring, alerts setting, generating reports, email notifications, Blackout instances during maintenance/down times and documenting the same steps for other DBA users. Configure Golden Gate monitoring from 12C OEM using the OEM GG plugin. Administer and address table space growth, monitor data files additions and extent growth. Work on Database upgrades from 10G to 11G. Work on extensively PSU patching of GI and Database. Work with EMCLI commands on OMS and also worked with Emdiag for OMS/Agent issues. Set up RMAN backups and work on RMAN recovery scenarios.
Skills required: Experience using 11G & 12C Golden Gate and Validate extensively from initial setup. Demonstrated knowledge of PL/SQL and experience assisting developers with writing SQL and Pl/SQL Code. SQL tuning experience. Experience with backup and recovery processes using RMAN and Comvault. Demonstrated knowledge of database high availability solutions like Data Guard, RAC, Physical and logical standby databases, streams and Golden Gate replication. Demonstrated knowledge of Database performance analysis and tuning. Experience with VERITAS Quick I/O, Net backup, and Volume Manager. Experience using Golden Gate setup for different Table structures using COLMAP. Datacenter Migration, Database refresh experience using expdp and impdp. Performance tuning experience for optimized results using tools like Explain plan, AWR and ADDM reports. Shell scripting knowledge to automate the monitoring.
