What you'll do

Acts as a company liaison with service providers, internal and external customers, and the community by building positive relationships and acting as a visible member of the local community; facilitating the communication of needs and expectations between suppliers, Mexico 3rd party logistics (3PL), and external support (for example, Sourcing Team, Buyers, Export Operations); enabling interactive communication with suppliers to facilitate assistance with deliveries; facilitating the communication between USA CMA (Walmart Mexico importer) and Mexico buyers, 3PL, and other support teams; coordinating meetings and visits with suppliers for upstream solutions to opportunities addressed by 3PL and DC's; clearly communicating the disposition of liquidated or return to vendor merchandise; accurately communicating the freight status of special programs; identifying shortfalls in
performance and correcting under performance by service providers; and conducting correction of error meetings to prevent re-occurrences of underperformance.
Provides direction on import/export operations by communicating, implementing, and measuring key performance indicators; providing warehousing consulting to drive business improvements; facilitating the communication between Mexico 3PL, supplier brokers, and CMA Mexico for the timely addressing of exceptions (for example, incorrect labeling, missing quantities); ensuring the accuracy of invoicing and shipping of all exported loads; understanding Mexico's import laws and applying this knowledge to ensure export and import compliance; constantly reviewing the PO (purchase order) forecast to identify the fluctuation of volumes as compared to forecasted volumes and developing plans of action to address the differences and then executing them; identifying the best method of disposing of or returning merchandise that will not be exported; properly defining and documenting the best method of pick up or disposal of goods; managing new projects to drive business improvement; monitoring the results of new
projects and making corrections or adjustments to business practices as needed; identifying opportunities to share resources, knowledge, and best practices with cross functional areas (for example, Export Operations, Global Shared Services, Sourcing Team) to help drive efficiencies and cost improvements; and identifying and addressing issues that are not consistent with Walmart standards and expectations.
Manages the execution of all aspects of administration (for example, quality assurance, systems) by providing timely data to GSS (Global Shared Services) team to ensure timely payment and claim resolution; identifying and providing feedback to services providers on billing discrepancies that fall outside established guidelines; monitoring the profit and loss (P and L) statements to ensure all charges are accurate and captured in a timely manner; tracking and investigating and providing proper closure to DC claims; ensuring the consistent application and tracking of company policies, guidelines, and procedures; submitting all financial and administrative reports in a timely manner; validating the goods received and shipped invoices are captured in the system of record to ensure the timely payment of suppliers; recording of all crossing and inbound documentation for record retention; and managing the office support team in their daily duties.
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

2 years’ experience as a Walmart Logistics supervisor or manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates.

Both Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 1 year experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees, managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees.

Certified Export Specialist certification (CES).
