What you'll do

Creates, designs, and implements the associate experience journey (for example, onboarding, intern programs, interview processes, candidate programs, learning and development) by collaborating with key stakeholders to analyze project initiatives; identifying strategic and process alignments; directing outreach, engagement, sustainability, and training efforts across various functions (for example, In-Club, Club Support); delivering appropriate technology tools and system solutions; making strategic decisions based on the analysis of business impacts; managing key supplier partnerships for new and existing initiatives; removing barriers to collaboration; and facilitating status reviews with key stakeholders and senior leadership.

Aligns strategic priorities for various functions (for example, In-Club, Club Support, technology and systems) with the direction of the broader organization by collaborating with cross-functional teams (for example, Learning and Development, Walmart Associate Experience) to determine training needs and analyze project initiatives; sharing best practices; evaluating messaging in training programs to ensure consistency; and holding regular status reviews with stakeholders and leadership.

Provides subject matter expertise in the associate experience journey by anticipating business needs and potential issues; developing action plans to address issues; researching associate experience best practices; benchmarking associate experience programs against industry standards; preparing messaging, executive positioning, and other communications efforts; and influencing leadership to support and promote messaging and communications strategies.

Oversees the implementation of associate experience programs and initiatives by assessing key opportunities to determine strategic approach; anticipating and understanding current and future process and value gaps; translating and interpreting business requirements into actionable strategies; benchmarking with industry experts through networking and continuous education; consulting with industry experts on new and innovative approaches to methodology; developing cross-functional assessments and business cases; recommending changes as sustainable best practices for initiatives; and providing specialized thought leadership throughout the lifecycle of associate experience change initiatives.

Develops actionable business strategies to enable the associate experience for defined business units by translating business issues into experimental designs; analyzing and interpreting results of research studies; recommending merchandising and marketing activities for categories which provide opportunities for sales growth; authoring and presenting those recommendations to various stakeholders (for example, merchandising, marketing, product development); and presenting communication for needed business strategy change based on results from analytic work.

Develops and drives major transformational associate experience change initiatives aligned with Sam's Club talent strategy by influencing strategic direction; partnering with business sponsors to develop the business model and strategic plan; eliminating barriers; driving strategy milestones for business process changes and systems development; and obtaining buy-in from executive leadership.

Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.

Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field and 3 years’ experience in human resources, operations, or related field OR 5 years’ experience in human resources, operations, or related field.

• 2 years’ supervisory experience.

Additional Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience managing human resources-related projects.

• Human Resources certification (for example, Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), or Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR)).

• Project Management Institute (PMI) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
