What you'll do

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects for Benefits Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability plans by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Manages the execution of Benefits Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability portfolios by developing strategic goals and plans for portfolio; developing and adjusting timelines, tasks, and analysis of resource allocation; leading cross-functional teams; prioritizing and managing work streams; monitoring progress versus plan; prioritizing and ensuring resolution of critical issues; delivering informational presentations; managing stakeholder expectations; and reviewing implementation materials.

Manages and partners with Third Party Administrator vendor partners for the administration of the Short Term and Long Term Disability plans including (but not all inclusive) compliance, plan management and financials.

Drives informed decision-making within Benefits to ensure resolution of critical portfolio issues by collaborating with department and internal business
units to identify goals, success criteria, assumptions, risks, and known issues with the portfolio; identifying potential risks of portfolio; reviewing
communication plans; educating sponsors, stakeholders, and executive leadership on program requirements; and developing strategy, direction, and
deliverables to establish understanding and acceptance.

Analyzes environmental factors for portfolio feasibility and to create solutions by assessing key opportunities; determining the strategic approach;
identifying current state; conducting gap analyses; collaborating with the cross-functional teams and stakeholders to assess needs and success
measurement; developing cross-functional assessments and business cases for action; and presenting key opportunities and assessments to senior
executives for review and approval.

Determines development and integration strategy for Benefits business systems by identifying system and portfolio needs; identifying system
integration gaps within portfolio; overseeing system development to identify points of integration; and approving system business and functional
requirements.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work
environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching
for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to
others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and 4 years experience in project management, human resources, benefits or related field OR 6 years experience in project management, human resources, benefits, or related field.

Additional Qualifications

Short Term Disability and Leave of Absence Plan Design Experience
Min 2 years experience managing benefits related plans and projects
Min 2 years experience working with benefits information systems
Project Management Certification (for example, PMP, PMI)
