What you'll do at

As the Manager of Mobile Marketing, you will be part of the Mobile Marketing team, which is in charge of adoption and stickiness of our mobile apps and its many features, aimed to enable an easier, faster and more convenient shopping experience for our customers. You will report to the Director of Mobile Marketing and your goals will include accelerating product adoption and stickiness, with the ultimate objective of impacting LTV and funnel efficiency.
You will own the success of the Online Grocery mobile app and will work closely with the Online Grocery team, ensuring that your work aligns with the business priorities, and with the Product Management team, ensuring that you have access to the necessary data to make marketing investment decisions.

You will also provide additional marketing support for both grocery and general merchandise apps’ as we leverage our mobile growth technology tools to build and track app audiences.

In this cross-functional role, you will focus on growing our mobile app user base through paid and owned channels and tactics. You will champion mobile app and your work will impact app awareness, funnel efficiency, digital marketing ROI, and customer retention.

You will work closely with internal teams (CRM, product, stores marketing, data, and finance), to coordinate on business objectives and execution, including optimizing the use of marketing technology solutions to guide execution planning. As Marketing Manager, you are responsible for tactical direction, management, and optimization of paid and owned media programs and partners, maintaining engaging and productive vendor and agency relationships.
About You

•Plan and execute on a holistic mobile strategy for growing, retaining and monetizing our mobile user audience supporting Walmart grocery app in partnership with internal and external stakeholders and agencies.
•Manage campaigns in partnership with agency and internal teams, from inception through execution, including developing creative briefs, media planning oversight and approvals.
•Test new consumer concepts and leverage customer insights and analytics to provide input into new marketing or service activation strategies.
•Leverage customer and competitor data to mine insights and make recommendations on new/additional target audience segments to establish marketing channel priorities.
•Continuously adjust strategy and plans based on campaign ROI, real-time trends, and other insights.
•Work closely with cross-functional partners to drive mobile installs and engagement to existing user base to improve customer retention and LTV.
•Work with internal and external partners to create mobile-specific offers and messages that are compelling, relevant and differentiated.
•Complete performance analysis and projections, showcasing results the team has delivered.
•Stay on top of the latest industry developments in mobile and mobile marketing.
•Partner with the mobile product team to incorporate changes to the apps’ feature and communications mix to fuel your acquisition strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

•5+ years of experience building, managing, optimizing, reporting and analyzing marketing campaigns.
•A track record working on audience acquisition for a consumer-facing ecommerce app or website.
•At least three years of relevant experience in mobile marketing
•1-3 years of strategy and planning: advertising, budget allocation, forecast and scenario planning.
•Strong knowledge of the digital and mobile marketing landscape, with a focus on acquisition strategies and tactics.
•Solid understanding of marketing testing and reporting methodology.
•Ability to succinctly communicate both verbally and in writing, and provide clear direction on projects.
•Ability to interface with a wide range of internal teams.
•Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize and meet aggressive targets and deadlines.
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate ideas and present results.
•Solid project management skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
•Understanding of Wal-Mart's brand promise and the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messaging.

-Some Travel may be required.

  • Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field and 2 years experience in marketing or related field OR 4 years experience in marketing or related field.
