What you'll do at
Reporting to the VP, Chief of Human Resources, the successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the division’s talent acquisition and selection initiatives, including but not limited to sourcing, recruiting, screening, interviewing, campus and professional organization relations, external employment branding, and on-boarding. This role will work in close partnership with the division’s executive/regional leadership and hiring managers across the organization to identify qualified candidates for clinical, professional and administrative positions.
Overall, the Sr. Director Talent Acquisition will develop a high quality, purpose driven talent acquisition team that takes pride in being employment ambassadors for Walmart H&W, and ultimately attracting and retaining outstanding talent that will differentiate the company in the marketplace and drive success.
Develop a best in class Talent Acquisition function for Walmart Health & Wellness: Responsible for overall design, leadership, development, training, and performance of the Talent Acquisition and on-boarding team. Ensures team members utilize the most effective tools and processes for effectively attracting the best talent building deep clinical talent pipelines and acting as the H&W division ambassador for its external employment brand. Mentors and coaches team members to excellence.
Assist in the co-creation of the Division’s overall people strategy: Serves as a member of the H&W Human Resources senior leadership team and participates in the development and execution of the division’s people strategy, including, but not limited to becoming the preferred employer of choice in our space.
Identify and oversee key practices and processes that attract top talent: Design creative and innovative strategies for sourcing and acquiring top talent. Develop recruitment initiatives, services, tools, and solutions that align with the strategic direction of the division.
Key Relationships and Communications: Collaborate with key business leaders and hiring managers to fully understand their business requirements and talent objectives. Utilizing a consultative orientation, coach and counsel leadership regarding talent acquisition strategies in order to increase their proficiency and engagement in sourcing, attracting, and retaining top talent. Develop deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as schools and associations. Lead targeted executive searches as well as provide back-up sourcing and interview assistance to the recruiting team and hiring managers as needed.
Drive contemporary talent data analytics: Establish key reporting and data analytics related to hiring processes. Analyze activity and trends through appropriate data collection and metrics benchmarking against relevant market intelligence.

- 4 years supervisory experience.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 6 years experience in human resources, talent acquisition, staffing, recruiting, hiring, or related area OR 8 years experience in human resources, talent acquisition, staffing, recruiting, hiring or related area.
10+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience in a geographically distributed organization; 5 years in a leadership role(s).
Demonstrated experience in developing innovative solutions to source, attract and retain clinical talent.
Excellence in coaching, developing, and leading team members while influencing them to take positive action and be accountable for their assigned work.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders; consultative and collaborative style that allows for influence without authority.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
Analytical ability with experience and insights in reporting for executive audiences.
Proven track record of achieving results in a matrixed, time sensitive environment.
Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal; ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization, including the ability to present to small and large audiences.
Ability to work in a hands-on environment, seamlessly moving between strategy and execution.
