Senior Manager, Digital Merchandise Strategy, eCommerce Operations

What you'll do at

The Senior Manager, Digital Merchandise Strategy is the business driver for key strategic monetization initiatives for the Online Grocery business. Ultimately, your goal is to help transform the face of Online Grocery Operations at Walmart. In this role, you will partner with a high energy team to lead complex merchandise technology solutions within Walmart’s Online Grocery business. You will be responsible for representing the business and operations for multiple stakeholders and have the ability to influence product strategy to deliver some of the most transformative projects in retail.

What you’ll be working on
• Execute key strategic monetization efforts for the business
• Drive merchandising solutions to help our customers to shop when, where, and how they want
• Drive strategy in a truly entrepreneurial way while helping to champion the vision of one of the largest and fastest growing eCommerce companies in the world
• Partner with senior leaders to set and achieve ambitious goals
• Use data and analytics to drive initiatives and track performance
• Constantly analyze the competitive landscape to understand and influence trends that are shaping the industry

• Drives field-level direction and provides guidance for the execution of operations
• Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects
• Ensures business needs are being met
• Improves field-level chain execution
• Manages end-to-end processes and ensures field-level execution of projects is performing to expectation
• Manages process improvement efforts
• Oversees relationships with external parties
• Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field
• 3-5 years of professional experience focusing on the customer and their needs, working under pressure and in highly-visible roles

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering or Business administration
• Retail and / or eCommerce experience
• Outcome oriented - not reactionary; able to articulate the desired outcome and work collaboratively to create a path to achieve it
• Strong execution sense - can envision a world different than the status quo with the ability to articulate a clear path to get there
• Self-motivated, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Not hesitant to get hands dirty and do whatever is necessary to ensure success
• Clear and unwavering customer obsession
• Retail and / or eCommerce experience
• Comfortable with some ambiguity
• Decisive
