What you'll do at

Essential Functions
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Supports activities related to sourcing private label product through all sourcing paths by developing and implementing a streamlined process for
product development and delivery; assisting with the development of category sourcing budgets; delegating responsibilities related to technical
specification delivery to cross-functional teams (for example, Product Development, Global Sourcing, Technical Services); and executing
communication protocols between the category team and offshore sourcing teams.
Manages the timely completion of key milestones necessary for downstream functions by conducting root cause analysis; resolving or escalating
issues as appropriate; serving as a liaison between category teams and offshore sourcing teams on issues related to product specifications or global
design packs; tracking samples, pricing quotes, product finalization, supplier commitments, and shipment times; and obtaining costing information on
desired products.
Identifies suppliers based on their alignment with product technical specifications by obtaining information on quality standards (for example, good,
better, best) from Technical Services and Product Development for designated categories; partnering with Product Development to develop final
product specifications based on required aesthetics, branding, and customer expectations; executing Walmart's global leverage strategy to ensure
optimal quality and cost across multiple retail markets; adjusting or updating product specifications as needed; and leveraging existing knowledge and
best practices to drive consistency and standardization of sourcing across suppliers.
Builds the supplier matrix for designated strategic business unit (SBU) categories by managing processes for on-boarding new suppliers and
maintaining existing suppliers; developing, implementing, and maintaining process approval guidelines across the supplier matrix; partnering with
Ethical Sourcing to verify that all suppliers adhere to ethical compliance policies; conducting supplier training, feedback, and learning sessions;
compiling, maintaining, and validating internal metrics to formally assess supplier performance; and communicating supplier performance to Global
Sourcing management and business partners (for example, Technical Services, merchants, Product Development).
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business
plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring
progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work
environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching
for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to
others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business
partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and costeffectiveness;
and participating in and supporting community outreach events.
Competencies
An individual must be proficient in each of the competencies listed below to success

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field and 3 years experience in sourcing, supply chain, merchandising, or related field OR 5
years experience in sourcing, supply chain, merchandising, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Six Sigma or related certification.
4 years experience in global sourcing.
4 years manufacturing experience.
2 years experience planning and managing budgets.
2 years experience working on multi-national team
