What you'll do at

Develops and implements technologies required by the division to remain competitive in the existing and future logistics environment by developing
relationships and interfacing with vendor leadership personnel who provide services over a wide range of products (for example, material handling
systems, powered equipment, HVAC systems, racking, energy management systems); coordinating contract negotiations with senior management
(including warranties, aftermarket support programs); resolving support issues; and partnering with senior management to ensure programs are
integrated uniformly throughout the network, develop material handling solutions that are easy to operate and maintain, standardize components and
controls systems, provide visualization tools and easy to follow instructions, and improve component quality.
Develops and manages projects for the network by coordinating and monitoring facility projects; collaborating with leaders in other departments to
develop integrated project solutions involving cross-functional departments (for example, Operations, Finance, Systems, Project Management,
Engineering); ensuring project completion, with minimal disruptions to operations and no impact to the network's ability to deliver freight to the stores;
and working with other groups to develop capital budgets to support division initiatives.
Manages and improves Walmart assets (for example, personnel, equipment, facilities) by developing and providing oversight to audit programs
addressing the network asset base (for example, building structure, grounds, parking lots, material handling equipment, energy center, pump house,
retention ponds); supporting development of annual retrofit plans to return deteriorated and degraded facilities to acceptable operating conditions;
providing input to regional leadership teams to develop programs and processes to avoid future asset damage; partnering with other departments to
develop new technology, processes, and strategies to make improvement; supporting teams (for example, distribution center operations,
Maintenance teams, vendors, home office Purchasing and Contracts team) to complete contracts and the required vetting process; and developing
budget forecasts for five-year plan and annual capital and expense budgets to support home office budgeting and approval processes.
Provides direction and support for maintenance operations in the Logistics network by driving improvement oriented thought processes in the senior
management of regional teams; working with regional leadership teams to identify improvement opportunities, manage and monitor large projects,
develop corrective action plans, and develop associates for leadership roles; providing direction in key areas (for example, profit and loss statement
(P&L), maintenance management system, personnel management, equipment performance and reliability, parts inventory); ensuring on-call support
is provided for technical issues with equipment and maintenance operational issues; providing direct support for maintenance managers duties when
additional coverage is required; exercising oversight during downtime situations; and dispatching supplier partner expertise and internal resources to
support material handling equipment problems.
Supports regional operations teams in the division by assisting regional and leadership teams in the field with associate issues, investigations,
grassroots issues, human resource policies for the distribution centers (DC), recruiting, and capital and expense budgeting; coordinating projects to
implement new programs and integrate new processes into the network (for example, store collaboration, lift fleet management); and coordinating
operational strategy, establishing standards (for example, maintenance, compliance, shipping) and providing updates on established key performance
indicators to regional operations team.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (e.g., Engineering, Transportation, Logistics) and 6 years experience in
Supply Chain Management or related field OR 10 years experience in Supply Chain Management or related field.
3 years supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Experience with TPM, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement type operating systems
• Experience with Operations and Maintenance of Ammonia Refrigeration systems
