What you'll do at

Ensures new patients receive medication information and supplies by organizing and distributing information packets for new patient prescription fills;
verifying new patient prescription packets needed for shipments; ensuring patient starter kits are included in initial shipments for specific drugs; and
logging starter kit distribution for manufacturer and facility.
Evaluates ongoing patient health status and quality of life at intervals based on manufacturer guidelines or patient request by conducting patient
evaluations; calling patients to ensure adherence to medications and resolve medication issues; identifying and communicating potential untoward
outcomes; collecting drug and disease information; communicating and reviewing new medication instructions with the patient; advising patients of
side effects, dosage, storage, and administration of medications; and advising patients on how to treat possible side effects.
Collects information for specific diseases by administering validated questionnaires (for example, Multiple Sclerosis Impact Scale (MSIS-29)) to
evaluate ongoing patient health status and gauge treatment response; determining how often to administer questionnaire to patients based on
medication cycles and guidelines; and distributing information to treatment staff, pharmacies, and prescribers.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in nursing as it relates to Specialty Pharmacy and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of
action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to
meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business
needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on
improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the
development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in
executing business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Certification in nursing field (for example, LPN, LVN).
3 years experience in nursing or related field

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure.
2 years experience in home care or telephonic nursing.
Specialty Disease Certification (for example, Multiple Sclerosis, Oncology)
