What you'll do at

Accountable for activities related to Data Center Critical Power and Backup Power for Distribution Centers, Home Office Locations, and other related types of sites. Responsibilities are typically centered around new sites, remodels, end of life replacements, and support of the UPS equipment, Batteries, HVAC, ATS, and Generators. This position does require broad working knowledge of the items mentioned above along with an electrical and mechanical background.

Other crucial aspects of the position require the ability to provide leadership, oversight, and management of all activities falling within the realm of Critical Power and Backup Power. The ability to communicate and follow-up effectively with multiple stakeholders including internal business partners, business customers, service providers, and contractors will be an important aspect of the position. As most stakeholders and activities reside outside of the primary office location, those activities will be managed remotely and it will be equally important to determine how, when, and to what level to engage and respond.

The position does require the ability to effectively manage incident tickets and change controls, create and update status reports, define and document processes and procedures, and perform related financial transactions including budgeting, travel expense reports, quotes, and purchase orders. Decision making and exercising proper judgment in determining and carrying out the proper course of action as related to financial, technical, project management, and general oversight is expected.

Travel will be required domestically and potentially internationally as determined by the business which could include multiple consecutive days.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science OR 2 years systems engineering experience or Master of Science

Preferred Qualifications

Critical Power experience
Infrastructure background
Project Management
Ability to communicate with Construction teams
Electrical and Mechanical skills
Ability to work on call rotation 1/5 weeks
