What you'll do at

This position is responsible for the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related

organization. Relates to others in an accepting and respectful manner, regardlessDevelops and implements training programs (for example, defensive driving, hazardous materials, drug and alcohol testing, injury prevention) by
developing action plans to improve performance in areas of identified gaps; creating training programs that address federal requirements and reduce
or eliminate risk; ensuring all associates are trained on company policy and best practices and federal regulations; monitoring progress through
follow-up; and providing reports to senior leadership.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business
plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring
progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work
environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching
for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to
others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business
partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness;
and participating in and supporting community outreach events.Traveling is necessary to perform one or more essential functions of this position.
Travels domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring consecutive overnight stays.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and 2 years experience in Transportation Safety or related field OR 5 years experience in
Transportation Safety or related field.
2 years of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Transportation Safety or related field.
3 years experience working with Transportation Industry Organizations and/or related Governmental Organizations.
Certified Safety Supervisor (CSS), Certified Director of Safety (CDS) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
