What you'll do at

Walmart design technologists help shape the next generation of eCommerce experiences that effect millions of shoppers. In this role, you will openly collaborate with product designers, other design technologists and cross-functional partners to translate design research, strategy, and interactions into high-fidelity prototypes.

You will:
• Immerse yourself into building highly-interactive and functional prototypes using realistic data sets.
• Consistently develop skills using new tools and methods to appropriately solve problems.
• Contribute to the implementation of new and improved design concepts, guidelines, and design patterns across multiple platforms and modalities.
• Proactively research emerging technologies that impact design success and address our product’s future.
• Ensure a consistent, appealing, and dynamic user experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (HCI, computer science, design, cognitive science) and/or equivalent relevant experience
• A strong product design portfolio that demonstrates how you design to solve for both business requirements and customer needs.

Additional Requirements
• Experience in UI development with HTML/CSS/JavaScript, progressive web apps, and/or advanced prototyping tools such as Framer.
• Experience with modern UI standards (accessibility, responsive design, grids, animation, performance).
• Proficient in prototyping and design practices such as interaction design and visual design.
• Natural curiosity for new technology and able to discern the complex problems that arise from its implementation.
• Facility with rapid prototyping tools and design tools.
• Experience collaborating in a team.
• Solid communication, presentation, and analytical skills; ability to communicate across different audiences at varying levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of agile product development.
• 1 year experience designing front-end user experience solutions for mobile applications on major smartphone platforms (for example, Android, iOS).
