What you'll do at

Drives pest management improvements by developing new and enhanced processes and procedures to manage risk; evaluating and researching
new pest elimination tools and capture devices; conducting analysis of new regulations and implementing plans to ensure compliance; creating new
metrics, trend reports, tracking tools, and training tools; and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to reduce regulatory findings.

Responds to and manages urgent risk management situations by responding to regulatory issues, requests, and inquiries; researching and
assessing new and emerging issues; evaluating industry related outbreaks, recalls and the potential impact on Walmart’s business; responding to
media inquiries; and investigating alleged animal customer interactions (for example, snake bites, rodent sightings).

Designing pest control strategies by reviewing pest service reports and regulatory inspection reports; developing process, standards, and policies to
ensure stores, clubs, and distribution centers meet compliance standards; developing corrective action plans; identifying metrics and process
improvements; and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet strategy and compliance goals.

Provides overall direction for Pest Control Management by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building
support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans;
determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying
and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer-focused environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring
continuous learning.

Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting,
selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new
and existing talent.

Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all
programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door policy.

Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading
key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate
business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate has a proven track record (5 to 8 years) in Pest Management with at least 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience in a related role as a Manager or Director in food retail, food service, or food manufacturing sector. Experience in a third party pest service or consulting firm or regulatory agency is also valid. He or she must have an in depth knowledge of pest management, entomology, food sanitation, pest-related communicable diseases, and state of the art pest management strategies.

They must have a minimum of Bachelors degree in Food Science, Entomology, Horticulture or related field with a graduate degree being desired. Experience and familiarity with integrated pest management strategies is highly desired and beneficial.

This person must have a good business acumen, high energy level, and effective communication and influence skills. He or she must be highly organized, analytical, and an excellent problem solver. This person must be a collaborator with experience in interacting with company and regulatory officials at all levels.
