What you'll do at

Assists in the management of external design contractors by disseminating information (for example, system parameters); monitoring completion of
project deadlines; escalating issues to management; collecting, consolidating, and reviewing system design and support documentation; transmitting
approved documentation to security project management; and reviewing change orders for accuracy and financial consideration.
Develops and implements Fire Alarm systems by compiling and transmitting initial design and scoping documents to field
associates; coordinating and ensuring completion of site surveys; identifying additional system requirements as necessary; creating equipment bills of
order; coordinating camera naming convention and cable assignment sheets; designing electrical requirements; communicating design information to
Store Planning Construction; and submitting final security documents to project management.
Designs delayed egress and access controls by reviewing store requests; consulting Store Operations, Asset Protection, and local jurisdictional
authorities; determining new access control system requirements; ensuring compliance with local code requirements; completing and submitting final
design specifications for jurisdictional review and approval; and ensuring documents are approved and transmitted to installers.
Designs life safety and fire alarm systems by consulting with jurisdictional authorities; ensuring system designs comply with federal, state and local
regulations; preparing equipment specification sheets, listings, applications, and fee assessments; monitoring the status of equipment requests;
providing documentation to assist in system installations, configuration, and maintenance; and visiting and assisting stores with compliance issues.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business
needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on
improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the
development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in
executing business processes and practices.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in life safety systems and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by
providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer
and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Preferred Qualifications

2 years experience in the installation of commercial fire alarm/Fire Alarm systems.
National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level 1 Video Security Systems Designer certification.
National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level 1 or Level 2 Fire Alarm Systems certification.
AUTOCAD experience a plus
