What you'll do at

Presents data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders by developing insights based on data analysis; applying analytical results to project
goals; identifying trends and key insights; determining key insights that require additional analysis; translating results into business actions; and
presenting insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Manages the continuous improvement of data science and analytics by researching industry best practices and staying up-to-date on analytical
practices; evaluating and recommending vendor products and services; integrating third-party solutions into current processes; developing and
recommending best practices for the retail industry, and mentoring peers and analysts across the division in analytical best practices.
Develops analytical models to drive analytic insights by directing the gathering of data; assessing data validity and usability; synthesizing data into
large datasets; ensuring data is applicable to project goals; developing statistical models and algorithms to analyze data; utilizing analytics project lifecycle approach to drive the development of advanced analytics modeling (for example, predictive modeling); coding, testing, and maintaining
analytical software tools; identifying trends, patterns, and discrepancies in data; determining additional data needed to support insights; training
statistical models for replication for future projects; translating results into actionable insights; and presenting results, insights and recommendations
to key stakeholders.
Leads small and participates in large data analytics project teams by serving as the technical lead for project teams; working with business partners to
interpret project goals into data analytic models; determining the root cause of business problems; developing contingency plans for data analysis;
designing data collection tools to conduct primary research to answer business initiatives; developing timelines for project execution; directing the
analysis of data; gathering data and developing reports as needed; utilizing business knowledge to ensure data support project goals; analyzing data
based on identified variables; reviewing data results to ensure accuracy; and communicating results and insights to the project team and business
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and
guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and
building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business
needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on
improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by
incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others
with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics and 10 years experience in an analytics-related field.
Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, or Mathematics and 6 years experience in an analytics-related field.
Doctoral degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, or Mathematics and 3 years experience in an analytics-related field.
Certificate in business analytics, data mining, or statistical analysis.
5 years experience with statistical programming languages (for example, SAS, R).
5 years experience with SQL and relational databases (for example, DB2, Oracle, SQL Server).
The 1-year experience with big data analytics.
